TPI® Golf Assessment in Glenwood Springs

TPI® Golf

Assessment

Play with less pain—and more power

If your back tightens up on the back nine, your hips won’t turn, or your shoulder won’t cooperate overhead, a TPI® (Titleist Performance Institute) assessment maps the mobility and stability limits behind your swing issues. You’ll leave with a clear, personalized plan that reduces pain, boosts consistency, and helps you enjoy the game more.

How the Assessment Works

We run you through golf-specific movement screens—simple tests for your thoracic spine, hips, shoulders, core, and balance—and connect your results to common swing characteristics.

Those screens help us:

  • Pinpoint mobility/stability gaps that cost power or cause discomfort
  • Identify risk patterns (e.g., early extension, sway/slide, reverse spine angle)
  • Build a corrective plan you can follow on and off the course

No complicated tech required. If helpful, bring a 7-iron for context—we’ll focus on your body first, then the swing.

What to Expect

Visit length: 45–60 minutes

Movement Map

Targeted screens for rotation, flexion/extension, single-leg balance, core control, and shoulder function.

Findings → Plan

We translate screens into a simple scorecard and create your plan: mobility work, activation/stability drills, and smart practice cues.

Care That Fits Your Body

When appropriate, we pair correctives with chiropractic, soft-tissue, dry needling/acupuncture, or spinal decompression for disc/nerve-related pain.

Track Progress

Expect early wins in 2–4 weeks with consistency. We’ll re-screen key items and adjust the plan as you improve.

Who It Helps

  • Back or hip pain during/after a round
  • Limited rotation (thoracic spine or hips) or poor balance
  • Shoulder pain with backswing/overhead positions
  • Loss of distance or late-round inconsistency
  • Returning to play after an injury and want a safe ramp-up

All skill levels welcome—from new golfers to low handicaps.

Golfers with Pain: Read This First

If your pain suggests disc/nerve irritation (sciatica, true leg symptoms) or certain red flags, we’ll address that first—often with non-surgical decompression, targeted manual care, and gentle progressions—then layer the golf plan back in safely.

Your Personalized Game Plan

  • Mobility: thoracic rotation, hip internal/external rotation, ankle dorsiflexion
  • Stability: glute and core control, anti-rotation strength, scapular control
  • Strength: simple progressions that respect joints and time constraints
  • Swing Integration: 1–2 cues you can remember on the tee box

You’ll get clear homework (10–15 minutes/day), plus clinic sessions when needed to speed results.

TPI® Golf Assessment FAQs

Do I need to be “good” at golf?

No. All levels benefit; the goal is comfort and consistency.

Should I bring clubs?

Optional. A 7-iron helps for context, but the screen focuses on your body.

How soon will I notice a difference?

Many feel changes in 2–4 weeks with consistent homework; bigger gains build over a few cycles.

Will this change my swing?

We improve the body so your coach’s swing cues stick better—with fewer compensations.

Is it covered by insurance?

The assessment itself may be self-pay; any clinical treatment components (e.g., chiropractic) depend on coverage. We’ll verify benefits up front.

Ready to Start?
